Population: 66 000 (1992). The city was founded in 1351 (after the destruction of Lop Buri the smallpox epidemic), it was founded by King Rama I. Thibodi Ayutthaya quickly developed into a significant commercial town with the routes to China and India, and the fifteenth century the local ruler of ranking the greater part of the territory of modern Thailand.
